I got 2 dogs, both from a shelter, Bojko (alaskan malamute/foxterrier mix) and Idefix – my beloved 15 years old mutt. There’s been a plenty of work to make them socialized, relaxed and happy, and still a lot of work to do, and I love it! It’s also a big challenge to convince czech people (Czech republic – central Europe) to care about quality products for dogs, because they are conservative and a not-yet willing to pay for a really practice things, but it’s changing – and I am gladly a part of it.

The discovery of this community is really helpful for me, it’s nice to be noticed about new trends in pet blogging, and I believe I’ll get much inspiration from others!

    Hi Kara:

Welcome! If it’s a blog post currently hosted on your site, you might want to post a teaser {a few sentences} here and then include a link to read the rest at your site. That way you get the page views. It’s a good way to introduce people to your site.

    Hi Donaghy,

Welcome to BlogPaws! I LOVE the Outer Banks. I’m from Virginia Beach and yes I’m a native! I pretty much spent my summers as a kid in Hatteras as my parents have a beach home there. We actually still go down there a lot. So nice to meet someone close by! Will you attending the conference in Nashville?

That is such a precious pic! We are training our Chihuahua to kayak this summer so I might see what tips you have for taking a dog on the water!

Hello everyone! New here as I make my way around all there is to learn on this site as I slowly get mine under way. My main site will be A Dog’s Dish but I signed up initially with Sochi Strays. The latter may be more of a personal site or it could be more street/shelter dog focused, haven’t fully decided yet.

I have two dogs that happily take up a lot of my time. They get to go to work with me and hang out in my cube at the office (they alternate days) – it’s a really great work perk. Finn – a tri-color NC mix about 6.5 yrs old, adopted from a shelter around 5-6 months of age. She’s on the skittish side but very loving once she realizes the ceiling fan, UPS truck, wrapping paper tube, Swiffer, etc aren’t out to get her. Her best friend is a greyhound so she spends a lot of time zig-zagging when playing tag.

Then there’s Malchik, he’s maybe 3-3.5 yrs old and a total character. He’s one of the dogs saved during the Sochi Olympic Games and I’ve had him a year. He has a shattered hind leg that either was never treated or healed horribly and when he arrived in America amputation was considered. But, since he’s in no pain with it now and he’s figured out how to make it sort of act like a leg… they felt keeping it was worth a shot. I’ve always been drawn to dogs that needed a little extra attention/care/effort and being involved in adopting Malchik and seeing his total joy about life, despite whatever he’s gone through, gave me the oomph to do this.

Hope to have the basics up and running soon and then able to dive in before Nashville!

(Finn on IG is @Finnstagrammers and Malchik is @thesochistray)

Looking forward to learning more about this, everyone and the conference!

    Hi Gwynne:

    Welcome to BlogPaws!

I love, love, love your “character” descriptions of your dogs. I was LOL’ing as I read about Finn’s dislike of UPS trucks. My cat Spitfire has the same dislike!! I think it’s awesome that you picked two pups who require extra attention/effort. I wish more people would do the same. =)

I’m now following you on Twitter and IG. I hope to see you in Nashville!

    Hello Everyone,

I am totally new to this whole blogging thing. I have worked in vet hospitals for almost 30 years. Some day I plan on retiring! Then my husband and I will have time to travel. I started my blog to ramp up for this time. To keep me busy and hopefully some day to have an income from it and not be tied down to a “regular job”. I have a lot to learn and excited to be part of this community.

    My blog is:  http://www.whiskerstopaws.com

not much happening on my twitter, I have been living in the stone age and am not up to date on this social stuff!  But give my time…

I have an aging population of pets. have one dog Garin, a shepherd, 9 years; and two cats both eleven, Mick and Rudy. These are my kids, since I don’t have “real” kids.

    Hi Gwynne,

That is so cool that you are able to take your dogs to work with you!  You are right, it really is a great perk.  My cat goes to work with me, and I do believe that she is quite certain that I work for her!

Like you, I also seem to have a soft spot for animals that tend to be over looked in the adoption arena.  The last two dog I adopted were both over ten years old and both had health issues, and I have to say, they were two of the best pets I have ever had.  They have both since passed on, and although I miss them, it comforts me to know that they were very loved and pampered in their “golden Years”!

I look forward to your blog!

Hello! New member on Blogpaws but I’ve been blogging for several years. It started as a personal/lifestyle blog but with the adoption of my Papillon 2 years ago, it’s slowly moving into a pet blog.

I’m also fairly active on Instagram (@mmeeshell), which has almost been taken over completely by the dog. XD

    Hi!

I’m Vickie, I’m a canine behaviorist/obedience trainer who accidentally got into pet vlogin on Facebook. I was joking around with an app one day while getting ready to bathe Izzy, my chihuahua. I posted the video on my personal FB wall and a half dozen friends inboxed me asking if I could fix my settings so they could share it. I did another a few weeks later and forgot about the privacy settings… Long story, short – a friend poked fun and suggested that Izzy just get her own page. I didn’t take it as a joke, I made a page for my tiny Chihuahua and typically post videos, about 2/3 informative, 1/3 entertaining and it took off. Now if Izzy doesn’t turn out videos 3 times a week, my inbox gets messages – what surprised me is only 60 of her followers are my friends! The regulars, I feel like I know – it’s been fun and Izzy loves getting dressed up and posing. I’m attempting an actual site, if I can decide on a domain name, I might get some work done prior to the conference. Need to get my ticket – have to figure out what category I fall into.

I’ll bring Izzy with me, we’ll be at one of the newbies tables, so come on over and say Hey!

Need to learn about how to do a campaign…somehow that link has been illuding me. Any shove in the right direction would be most appreciated.

    Hi All,

I just joined, and I’m spending the evening looking around, reading other peoples’ posts, and enjoying some of your links which have caught my eye.  🙂

I have two pet-related businesses in northern California, so I’ll provide info for both, although currently I mostly blog only with one of them, although I micro-blog actively with both.

    1) Sierra Dogs: In-Home Dog Boarding & Certified Pet Training

    web page

    Facebook page

    2) Sierra Luna Photography: custom pet, equine, & wildlife photography

    web page

    blog part of the website

    facebook page

I’m also in the process of trying to create another web page for the workshops I teach.  I have a horse photography & business workshop I’m co-teaching this coming September, and I hope to add a dog photography & business one, plus continue with the train-the-trainer mentoring and workshops I do for dog training professionals.

I have two dogs of my own:  Vesta, a 6 year old gray/white husky, and Luna, my heart dog, a 12 year old large black/white husky mix.  Here are photos I took last week; hopefully they attach/embed correctly

I look forward to learning more about this community and everyone in it!

    Hi all!

I’m Christina and I am a pup at blogging.  Figured there was no other way to do it other than just jumping in and figuring it out.  I blog about greyhounds: some stuff is fun, other stuff is educational (at least from what I have learned).  My goal is to create a place where greyhound parents come together to learn and share.  I have a 2 yr old rescue greyhound from South Korea – her name is Luna.  I had a retired racer, Ruby, who just passed this February.

Good morning, I’m Carol, “mom” to 2 adorable calico tiger cats named “Peaches & Paprika.” I’m also a p/t photographer & do some writing as well.  I recently started a blog out of love for the kitties (and my Facebook friends seemed to enjoy hearing about them more than ME!)

Currently I would LOVE to get pointed in the right direction to use WORDPRESS for my blog, as “blogger” is clunky to use for me.  My goal is to communicate more fully in the kitty blogging world. Any advice as how to get started? Where to go, what to read?   And ultimately to connect all my online stuff.  Here are my links:

I’d appreciate if any expert pet bloggers like yourselves could give me any feedback on this site. I’m at an early stage so could develop it in a number of directions. If you can spare the time, please yelp or howl at me with your comments. Your help could make the site wonderful. Thanks everyone.

I guess I am new here, although apparently I joined a couple years ago and never did anything here! I am Robert and my blog is http://www.petradioshow.com which is a combination of a blog and weekly podcast. I know some of you and some of you have been guests on my show. If you have written a book chances are you have been on my show!. My dog’s name is Buster Boy and he is six years old now. I recently lost my 15 year old cat named Dickens. I adopted an FIV cat after Dickens passed, but I had to return him to the rescue because Buster seemed to be making him too nervous. My dog is not real social and gets very jealous if I pay any attention to another animal.  What else… I am 55 years old, live in Salem, Oregon. Came up here from California 15 years ago, and grew up in Boston.  I had cats most of my life, and Buster is my first dog!

My web site has a pretty good following, and my Facebook page has over 21,000 followers. I have fun with it. I am always looking for contributing writers and guests for my podcast!

Hi. I am Sarah, married to Kevin. We are currently parents to three princess-cats: Kira (tortie), Jade (black), and Angel (black). I have also worked with service dogs in the past. My blog is on my personal site:

    http://www.sarahblakelarose.com

It is a bit of a hodgepodge, and I have considered whether or not to move the pet content. I have left it alone because it was difficult for me to maintain multiple blogs and many of my readers seem to like the personal aspect to the site. I have taken a hiatus due to some medical issues that needed tending (the cats’ and mine) and will soon be doing a series about these.

I’m a contributing writer to sites like Dogster, so I’d be glad to provide a guest post. I’d also love to be on your show. I’m an expert on dog names, hence my site DoggieNames.com. It’s always a fun subject to talk about. Thanks!

Hi! My name is Janice Karlovich and I am brand new to BlogPaws. Still figuring out all the ins and outs.

I have a small company that has developed the STAYbowl™ tip-proof food bowl for guinea pigs and other small animals. Our website is http://www.mySTAYbowl.com, and my Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/mySTAYbowl/.

We have rescued Border Collies in the past (love the breed!), and we currently have two rescued guinea pigs, named Ginger and Cocoa. They are adorable! We are very much into animal rescue, and want to use our website to educate people about small animal health and wellness.

I would really love to find a blogger focused on small animals, such as guinea pigs, to do a product review of our product. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

    Thank you!

    Hi everyone.

A real quick intro from me before I dig in. I have an extensive background in seo, but have grown tired of creating and ranking websites that I don’t have a huge interest in. They just aren’t that much fun to work on day after day for months on end.

So I decided to start a site about dogs and to have a section where I get to share their misadventures. You can meet my dogs here: http://petregale.com/meet-our-dogs/

I’m headed into other parts of the forum now to help where I can. See you around the forum.

Sadly, (and rather ironically), I don’t actually have a dog at the moment but I do have the pleasure of working with dogs every day and I also night foster dogs who are struggling to cope in kennels. I do have a pair of dwarf hamsters called Bombur and Mithril who are gorgeous 🙂

I’m so glad to have found this community, I can’t wait to really get stuck in!

Sadly, our bloodhound, Hubert who was nearly 11 years old, passed away.  Our home is still full though with Solomon (9 month old Newfoundland); Steven (7 year old Miniature Schnauzer); Puffin (11 year old Ragdoll); and Annie (12 year old Burmilla).

Hi Erik! I am fairly new to Blogpaws myself. Still trying to figure out how to use it effectively!

We have developed a brand new pet product for the small animal market called STAYbowl(tm) tip-proof bowl for guinea pigs and other small pets. It is a very long story, but my husband and daughter invented it after we adopted two guinea pigs from a nearby rescue group and got tired of sweeping up all the wasted kibble! Our bowls prevent small pets from dumping their food, which is a big deal to small animal owners.

Anyway, if you are interested in knowing more about our STAYbowl(tm) tip-proof bowls, go to http://www.mySTAYbowl.com

I am planning to start a blog on small animal topics this year. Good luck to you!

I am so brand new to all of this the paint’s still wet.  I am show room new so to speak.

I love pets and am a pet mom to Greta (a 9 year old poodle) and Gypsy (an 8 year old black cat).  When I started researching about starting a blog I really had no idea the potential doors it could open.  I knew I liked to write and wanted to share experiences about life in general.  Then ideas started popping into my head about life over 60, pets and a few other things.

I created http://www.sidewalktraveler.com.  It is my perspective about life from my place on the sidewalk of life.

I am still in the process of setting up everything so be patient with me.

Hey fellow bloggers! I’m new here.

    My site – DogMom Life – http://www.dogmomlife.com

I’ve got the blog set up but working on content so very little is there right now, but the style of the brand is going well.

It’s mainly about the lifestyle and pride of being a dogmom. Appealing to that market of women that fill a void of not having children. And with their dogs as their family either by choice or other circumstances such as infertility.

I’m already getting acquainted with affiliate links and other ways of monetizing the site in the future, but just more focused on getting content and social marketing right now. I haven’t blasted the website out to public yet since there’s not much there.

I’ve been in creative departments for many massively-huge companies for over 10 years, so I’m looking forward to doing something for myself for a change. The thing that really is a bummer is that I still have a full time job being creative all day and then by the time I get home at night, my creative bank is dry by the time I work on my blog. So its going slowly right now.

I have a crazy Australian Shepherd that could have been famous if I ever got him an agent. I also have a Boston Terrier who is 12 yrs old and she is the queen bee of our house. I also have an orange cat that…well…does cat things. My husband and I live in Dallas, TX and we have tried to start a family, but currently are going through the infertility journey. So this blog helps me focus on the joys of being a dogmom and not the depression of being childless.

I’m learning so much lately on this and looking forward to learning a lot from yal and networking with everyone. Thanks for having me on board. I’m excited!

    Hey There!

My name is Tara and I am the owner of a pet grooming facility in NC called Million Dollar Dog, Inc (est 2005) and an all-natural pet products distribution company –  eMDD Distribution (est 2012).  I started blogging recently to both of my target audiences (pet owners & pet care professionals) to better educate these groups on what I have learned working with dogs over the past 16 years.

My husband Bob has been helping me and I think we make a great team!

    The blogs are:

http://www.amillioncaninekisses.com – for my awesome dog owners

    Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/milliondollardoggrooming and

http://www.naturalpetdistributionblog.com – for the amazing pet professionals that service our beloved dogs!

    Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/naturalpetshampooandproducts

For the first time in my entire life, I am sad to say that I am dog-less.  Our beloved Lab Janet passed away 2 weeks ago from heart failure at the age of 14 1/2.  Last year we also lost our Beagle, Maybelline (17 years young) and Greyhound-Mix Rocky (15 1/2 years old).  For the past few years, our home has been the geriatric wing of the neighborhood!  We are currently searching the shelters in search of the newest member of our family.  Stay tuned – you know I’ll write about it! 😉

I am so happy to have found BlogsPaw!  This site has been the answer to many of our newbie questions and as soon as my hubby wakes, we will discuss going to the conference in June!

Thank you for allowing me to post this and I look forward to making friends in your community.

With much appreciation for all you do,

    Tara

Sorry to hear about your loss of your entire pet family.  Taking care of Senior Dogs has it’s blessings and challenges.  Especially since they were with your for such a long time.  I have a 9 1/2 year old poodle named Greta Garbo.  She’s starting to show some age as well.  I also have an 8 year old cat named Gypsy.

    Hi:

My name is Lucille Callard Solomon and my blog is dedicated to getting the right dog the first time around.  I have volunteered at shelters and have seen dogs I fed and walked on a wagon, dead.  Sweet dogs out of time for adoption..

Getting a pup and knowing all about the breed is so important for forever homes.  Personality and lifestyles to make a good fit vital, too.  At the shelters, I heard over and over, “I didn’t know he would grow up like this.  I don’t like him”  Another abandoned dog.  I now only support No Kill shelters.

I have three dogs. My site is http//www.astro-pups.com/,

Note that the original code made the icon too big on my site, so I forced it to be 200px. You can remove width=”200″ height=”200″ from the code if you don’t want that.

    Code below:

<a href=”http://blogpaws.com/events/2016-conference/2016-conference-registration/” target=”_blank”><img title=”I’m Going to BlogPaws 2016! Join me!” alt=”I’m Going to BlogPaws 2016! Hi, my name’s Meghan.  I’m brand new to this community and somewhat new to blogging.  I got my first dog, Delilah, almost a year ago now and started blogging about our adventures a few months after that.  I work with dogs and also enjoy playing guitar and hiking.

    Our blog is: http://tinypawsvt.blogspot.com/

Delilah is a toy fox terrier (possibly mix)- about a year and a half old.  She was found as a stray in TN and I adopted her from a rescue there and had her transported up.  I absolutely didn’t want a terrier (I was looking at spaniels and Aussies) but that’s what I ended up with and she’s SO MUCH FUN.  Has some stranger anxiety/reactivity/impulse control issues.  We’re also training in agility and going to start trialing in barn hunt as well!  So our blog is about our training and adventures in and around Vermont.

I’m interested in reading blogs about dog sports, training, and rescue.  I’d love to meet people with similar interests!

Hello, I am Cecilia and the owner of 2 websites actually. One website was not planned, and was a homeless beauty site that I adopted. I had the server space so why not? It is pretty rough running 2 websites and their associated social media sites when I get home from work sometimes as late as 1 AM. Add in my gardening etc…

Anyways, here is my website info. This worldwide, Maine Coon specific site is amazingly busy. It seems to get used as a major reference for the breed. Just imagine if I actually had the time, what I could accomplish? This website is a forum, and the home page is blog like. I also custom code extra pages. There is a lot there… I am expanding things a bit right now.

I am nearing the completion of a 4 year project where as I have been gathering worldwide weight data for the breed. Finally going to make the weight charts. Although I do have a listing of all my weight data on the site for public viewing. But I am wondering if I should be doing some sort of scientific paper. I basically have proven that Maine Coons do not have a tendency of being over weight like the vets and other resources have always mentioned. Also, I have found the breed is much heavier than is commonly believed. These cats are huge!

Pinterest and onstagram in the works.
My YouTube channel isn’t under my website. But I think I have over 25,000 views just for my Teddy meowing. Lol…

The mackerel is my boy Teddy Bearz, and the low white is my Sasha as a youngster. Just totally amazing cats.

Thanx! My home page used to be pretty much static. And I decided to switch to “blog like”. But my visitors want the stuff I have pinned to stay on top always. Even though I created a new reference section. So I have a change of plans and will just be filling up the space under this. In the meanwhile, I pulled some older stuff from the forum to the front to fill space while I am rearranging and deciding. I hate when plans go sour. But I get a lot of people on my home page all the time and don’t want to risk it.

She is my inspiration and the primary reason I started a new website on Ning for all the pet parents who are fighting to keep their precious fur baby’s alive!  Pet Parents Fighting GME  I am so thrilled to be here and hopefully spread awareness of this disease which is also being caused by re-vaccinations of our dogs!  Did you know that they give a toy breed the same dose of vaccine as a 125 pound dog!  And then they wonder why our precious pets are having an auto-immune melt down in their Central Nervous System like GME & NME!  How stupid are our education vets!!!!  Here is a video of my precious Cricket.  Due to the delayed diagnosis of this disease she now has NME which has caused brain damage and she cannot walk on tile floors!  This is my little fighter walking in her home made doggy walker my husband made for her!

and these are all the other precious furbaby’s on my site affected with the very same disease!

Hello, my name is Gianni and I am the human behind ernie-and-berti.com

Ernie is my 1 year old Labrador and Berti is my 8 year old Airedale Terrier. I love to take pictures of them. That’s why my blog is more a photoblog than anything else.

But I am new to blogging and I know that I have to learn many things to be a succesful blogger. The first thing I learned is, that it is really important to get in touch with like minded people, especially like minded bloggers. So I am really happy to be here with all of you.

I know that sounds like a standard phrase . Another new and unexperienced blogger who disappears as fast as he has appeared. Why on earth should you seek contact with me?

Well, I might be new to blogging, but I am really good in microblogging. I have about 43k followers on twitter and a kloutscore of 70 . Feel free to check it out:  @berti_and_ernie

As microblogger I love to share good content. No blunt advertisments but entertaining and interesting informations, stories, movies and so on. And this is where you come into play if you want so. You have good content? Great! Let me share it! It does me no harm, it costs me nothing and the most important thing it costs you nothing.

Now you might ask, where is the catch? There is none unless it hurts you to press one of the many social buttons we all learned to love. A like here, a follow there but don’t be afraid you don’t have to push them in advance. Just get in touch with me on blogpaws or on twitter (I prefer twitter because I check it several times a day) Gimme a link, let me check it, approve it and share it. Then you push a button and we both are happy. And please don’t be afraid to get in contact with me. I don’t care if your blog is new or old or if you are a super blogger or a newbie like me, I only care about good content.

If this sounds interesting for you, get in touch!

    Greetings Gianni.

    Hi Blog Paws Community-

My name is Lauren and I am a Dog Lover and Pixie’s Mom.

Hi, my name is Lauren. I am a very passionate pet owner to my clan or (the zoo) as I lovingly call them.  I’m a transplant from Seattle and I’ve lived in LA for 3 years and am loving the sunshine!  Duke and Gus are my cats and Pixie is my border collie/lab mix.

While living in Seattle my husband and I owned and operated WOOF! Seattle which was the premier dog walking and pet sitting service in the area.  In 3 years, we worked with over 300 clients! While working with clients I found that a lot of dog owners have questions and want trusted resources.

Throughout my time as a fur baby parent I realized how important having trusted resources which is why I’m creating WOOF! Republic.  I want this to be a resource and a fun site for pet lovers.

My muse is Pixie, I adopted her when she was four years old. She is my first dog and brings a smile to my face that is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

Hey guys! I just joined blogpaws and am very excited to be a part of this community. I live in the beautiful mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. I have an all black dachshund named Rocket. I began with an instagram account for him (@rocket_the_dachshund) As it started gaining in popularity I decided to create a website where I could blog and share more of Rocket. I am now interested in turning this website into a part time job. The website is new and I don’t know much about the blogging world so I’m sure BlogPaws will be very beneficial to me. If you care to check it out it’s http://www.rocketthedachshund.com. I’m excited to connect with everyone and start learning! xo Elizabeth

@heartdogtribute Hi Jodi, I am a new member as well. Welcome and it’s nice to meet you. I just followed you on facebook and will check out your blog! Maverick sounded like a wonderful dog and it’s so special that you created a blog in his honor. I look forward to chatting with you in the future!

P.S : I’m not sure if this will link back to you Jodi! I don’t use forums very often so hopefully I replied correctly and you will get linked to this. If not, can someone tell me how to reply to posts? haha, thanks!

    Hi All!

My name is Meghann and I recently joined Blogpaws this past week. I have a wonderful fur-family of four (two dogs, both rescues and two cats). I started an Instagram for my dog Sadie over a year ago, and since then we have adopted our little man, whose not so little, Quincy so they have a shared IG account:@sadie_babyquinn I am currently in the process of writing a diary book, which captures how we (my boyfriend and I) handle having two large dogs who both suffer with forms of anxiety. We are glad to be apart of the Blogpaws family, and I would love to interact with all fur-moms and dads and help be an advocate and voice for animals who suffer with fear-aggression and/or reactivity and show that these animals can be loving-family pets.

    xx –
Meghann, Sadie, Quincy, and the meows Romeo and Lilo

    Hello,

My name is Julie and I am a pet owner and a pet services business owner in Ocala, Florida. My partner and I started 1st Rate Pet Services in May of 2012 so we will be 5 years old in a few months, and business is good! We mainly do in the pet’s home pet sitting, dog walking, pooper scooping and pet taxi. Working with animals is a dream come true for me, so sometimes I find it hard to really believe this is my life! I love being a pet sitter, but I want to do more with animal advocacy, humane education and empathy education. I also would like to learn to make money blogging, I know some people do really well at it, but I just have no idea where to start. We have a blog on our business website, but I’ve been terrible at keeping up with it, hoping to get better at that this year.

Our website is www-1st-rate-pet.com. We also have a Facebook Page under the same business name, as well as Google+. I made a Twitter account too, but I just don’t understand or “get” Twitter, so I don’t ever do anything with it.

Our family consists of my business and life partner, Don, our 2 dogs MaLord, who is a Shiba, and Bright Eyes, who is an AmStaf mix, plus 3 cats, Stormy, Ivy and Shi-hea. Don and I both have grown up kids (not together), who live in Iowa, which is where we are originally from.

    Howdy!

My name is Courtney and my pup’s name is Alfie (he’s a Chinese Crested, Border Terrier mix) and my bird’s name is Tinkerbell (she’s a Pacific Parrotlet). I am an artist from Vancouver, Canada.

My blog’s address is DailyBark.ca you can also find us on Twitter/Instagram at dailybarkdogs. We are also on Pinterest and YouTube (links can be found through our blog/website).

I’m just now getting things rolling with DailyBark. It started off on a different platform as just a website that I updated solely for myself to keep track of my pets and enjoy memories and when my childhood dog Lucky died unexpectedly I decided I actually have some thoughts and things to share when it comes to dogs and birds.

I’m happy to have found this community and I look forward to interacting with you all, learning and sharing information!

    Cheers!
