This is going to be my first blogpaws event, I own the blog Peace, Love & Whiskers and I've seen a few other bloggers talk about how wonderful it was to go to the BlogPaws and decided to go.
But I don't know what expect and I don't know anyone else going yet.. I'm pretty excited but also scared/nervous and have many many questions about the event.
Anyone going that wouldn't mind helping me out?
I want to cover the event on my blog as well as get some interviews done as I do animal interviews on my blog.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Chris

I want to say how WONDERFUL it is that you are going to be going to BlogPaws! OMG you will LOVE IT!!
It is normal to be nervous but you will never meet a more welcoming bunch of people than fellow pet lovers. You will be put at ease in NO TIME!
Last year I was in charge of the "Newbies" Group....I was at the conference the year before last (that was my first one!) and LOVED IT! Last year I had to cancel at the last second due to having a kidney stone attack.
Anyway...in our Newbie Group last year A LOT of questions were asked (and answered)....here is the link to the group of you want to check it out:Newbie Group
I am not sure if I am doing another Newbie Group this year or if someone else is, but the link I gave you should answer TONS of your questions!
If I can be of any help to you I am more than happy to help......I am sure MANY others will jump in too!
Trust me, the minute everyone gives you a GIANT and welcoming hug and you get to see so many of your blogging friends all of your fears will vanish!
It is the BEST experience on the planet!!

I think I can handle that.
Permalink Reply by Chris McNeair on December 25, 2012 at 12:17pm Is it safe to assume there will be lots of photo opportunities? I will have my camera with me.. and I'll make sure I'll have lots of batteries.
In looking through the form link I didn't see anything about a dress code yet and how the parking will be as I will not be able to stay on property, but I'll be the next town over.

On the link that I sent to you there are MULTIPLE pages of comments.....please take a few minutes to go through them...yes.....dress code is answered....here are some articles from the group that should help you...here is one by Yvonne Divita click here and here is another great article by Carol Bryant....click here
As for parking...I was at Tysons Corners for the first conference...not sure about how you would get there...I know that another blogger Dawn Miklich lives in the area.....you may want to connect with her, as well as Rachel Shubin and Ingrid King. They all live in the area.

Hi Chris! I went to my first BlogPaws in 2011 when it was at Tyson's Corners. I was scared not knowing anyone and being a total introvert felt so far out of my comfort zone going. But I survived :>), enjoyed myself and was real glad I went. I met Caren there!
I don't live near Tyson's Corners, I'm about 4 hours north of there in PA, but I drove down last time and there was plenty of parking around the hotel. I'm not sure exactly how much was free in the front, but there were a lot of spaces there too.
Permalink Reply by Chris McNeair on December 25, 2012 at 10:23pm I can only hope that one day that will be my future being a real pet blogger. :)
