What sucks is that it forces Blogger writers to use Captcha, which others hate.  I've decided to get over my dislike of captcha and refresh to get a code that I can read; reading about all the spam makes me think that this is a good idea.  I'd hate to have to deal with that!

Checking into the bot blocker plugin now.

I use comment moderation on Blogger that doesn't require the use of Captcha at all :) I hate it as well and wouldn't put others through that torment.

Like Caren, I've removed Captcha.  Not only do I hate it, but I had too many (very polite) complaints.  Blogger allows comment moderation without Captcha, Kimberly.

I'm headed over to delete spam now, since I received 28 notices of Anonymous comments just overnight!

Right now it's a diet crazy "that I saw on Dr. Oz" - I just report, delete and block.  It's a pain in the butt.

Yuck. Now that you described this - I saw similar spam on a dog site and didn't really understand what I was seeing except that it sure didn't fit that dog page!
