Permalink Reply by Rene Agredano on June 9, 2011 at 3:44pm Oh my goodness! I had no idea they didn't! My DH and I have had this dream for retirement, but without our dogs...Well, that certainly changes things!
Don't let it stop you, just be aware that there are a lot of restrictions that make it nearly impossible to enjoy the parks together. Some national parks and monuments are more laid back than others but the most popular ones have very strict rules and dogs can't go many places other than the parking lot). We always stick to national forests and BLM lands which don't impose such crazy laws on dogs.
Permalink Reply by Rachel Phelps on June 17, 2011 at 2:21pm I have to agree with Gracy more hotels..especially at conventions..i tag along with my husband sometimes and many of them are not pet friendly. But I am excited that vegas finally has some hotels on the strip that they can go to. I have a new dog named Elvis (didn't name him..came with the name) that I so want to take to Las Vegas with us next time we go! The pictures we could get with our westie ...Elvis with a show girl, elvis playing the slots, etc. lol.
I also wanted to take my dogs to the grand canyon but they aren't allowed there the last time I checked.

Wish hotels that are Fido friendly didn't put a weight limit on dogs. My Humans would take me more places if they were not charged a huge surcharge 'cause I weigh in at close to 100 lbs. or the weight limit is so light that only a Yorkie could qualify.
My other pet peeve is that most places stick you in the undesireable rooms. Hey, I live in really, really nice surroundings, I don't want to be stuck in a scrungy room. My Humans can never seem to find any waterfront accommodations when they have me with them.
Y'all come by now,

Wish Gaylord Palms also allowed dogs. They have plenty of space to make it a nice place for dogs too.

Permalink Reply by Sonia Charry on August 29, 2012 at 12:34pm Absolutely! The last time I called a hotel that said it was "pet friendly," I asked about weight limit. They said they'll allow any number of pets, so long as the total weight was not more than 40 pounds. That was my Nala as a puppy!
