Holistic Medicine for Animals

Information

Holistic Medicine for Animals

Holistic medicine includes therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, chiropractic care, pulsed signal therapy and nutritional counseling. Animals can experience meaningful improvement and profound healing that reaches the underlying cause of the problem. Holistic medicine is safe, gentle, and effective. Even when disease is not entirely eliminated, pets can enjoy a better quality of life.

We believe integrative medicine (the use of both Western care and holistic techniques) is the best option for our pets. Sometimes one approach is more appropriate than the other. Other times their simultaneous use offers the best therapeutic result.

This group is a forum for sharing information about holistic medicine and raising awareness in the community about how it benefits our pets! We believe education is the key to being the best possible pet owners and pet professionals we can be.

Thank you for visiting our group. Feel free to share your experiences with holistic medicine!

Peggy Mundell/DogBreedz, I have lots of information on that.  I took a fabulous class on Essential Oils for Animals through Dr. Melissa Shelton (a holistic vet).  She is a fellow Young Living Essential Oil distributor and she really knows her stuff!  Her website is http://www.oilyvet.com.  You can also contact me for suggestion because I have been through the class too.  You can connect with me on my website www.holisticfurkids.com.  A good friend of mine, Linda Troup (who I believe is also on BlogPaws) does T-Touch and Therapeutic Massage for dogs and is also a Young Living Essential Oil distributor and has been through Dr. Shelton's intensive class as well.  You can contact her through her website, http://www.touchnpaws.com.  I hope this information helps you!

Hi Group!  I am looking for information on using Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils in relation to Canine health.  It is frustrating that information is hard to come by! My hope is to learn and educate others to help increase their dogs' health.  Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Product of the week is....drum-roll please....Premier Pet Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble.

It’s the rainy season and it’s hard to get your dog out for those nice walks you get to take in the Summer. Well, we have a solution to getting your dog s
ome exercise and fun indoors. The Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble.

This toy is great for getting your dog moving indoors. Fill it with your dog’s kibble or favorite treats and watch their natural instincts come alive. They will have hours of fun pushing, pawing and chasing this globe around your home as it dispenses yummy treats to reward their intelligence.

Our doctors recommend this toy to help patients exercise during those quiet months and to help keep the winter pounds down. It is easy to use and clean after your pet is exhausted from playing.
We are proud to announce that we now carry this great product here at our facility.

December is Safe Toys and Gifts Month!

When getting a toy for your furry pal, here are some ideas to keep in mind:
- Make sure the toy is big enough so your pet doesn't accidentally swallow it
- Stick to toys made specifically for your pet (dog, cat, etc.)
- The less strings, points and embellishments the toy has, the better.

Happy giving!
