Does what you say on social media make you an expert?

You might think it doesn't, but it could. More and more news outlets are paying attention to what is said on Twitter, Facebook and other forms of Social Media and using them as sources.

I'm Adopting a New Furkid

I really hadn't planned to adopt so soon after adopting Minuit this summer, but I couldn't resist. I adopted Min from Diabetic Cats in Need and so I follow them on Facebook. This past weekend they posted a 10 year old diabetic Ragdoll in need of a new home after his mom died.
I really did wait for someone else to step up. After 2 days with no interest, I emailed. Needless to say Poughkeepsie should be arriving on Sunday. I fell in love with Ragdolls after adopting Woody…

Hi Dawn - I love (and hate) my iPad. I have the 3G and the definite benefit is being able to do a bit of work on the go.
I love: the Google G-Whizz App, which lets you access your google reader, google+ gmail, facebook, twitter etc. I love having access to my Google Calendar on the go. I also use GoToMyPC often. Another cool app is Corkulous - abasically a corkboard that I use to organize thoughts and ideas for specific posts. I also like that I can sync it to all of my gmail addresses creating one "master" inbox. It's handy.
I hate: no flash. Seriously. It sucks. As a blogger user, there is no good iPad app to publish from, so I rarely if ever do any writing or post drafting on it. When I do, I use Evernote to write it, then copy paste it to an email when it's done. I hear Wordpress has a decent iPad app though.
