Dad was from Macedonia, and Mom was from Kentucky ( with roots further back in Indiana ), and both are deceased.

Being a Blogger I fancy myself something of an Amateur Writer, Journalist, and Commentator on the world around me, and the world at large.

I am owned by 2 Cats:

Nikita, born in 1998, a part Maine Coon, rescued, as a Kitten, from the Pomona Humane Society.

Elvira Mistress of Felinity, a beautiful Tortie, Born Feb. 2010, found on my doorstep, July 2010.

Within a few months of my adopting Nikita I got my first computer, & we both made our 1st online appearance on a long defunct Time Online Message Board Community.

Nikita set about to, um, write his memoirs, though he wasn't even half a year old. :-D

In 2002 I set up my 1st blog, and Nikita was my Co-Blogger, though an infrequent one up through 2005.

When we discovered the emerging Cat Blogging Comminuty, and the new Cat Blogosphere website, Nikita began to blog more, and more, especially once we closed the 1st blog, and set up my current one, in Fall 2007.

An active supporter of the Carnival of the Cats, and Weekend Cat Blogging, among other round-ups designed to help Cat Bloggers discover our compatriots, he was even more poppular a blogger than me. :-D

In December 2010 it finally dawned on me that Nikita needed his very own blog, separate from me, and on New Year's Day 2010 Meowsings of An Opinionated Pussycat was born.

The rest is history, as they say. :-D

Last July, I came home from work, late one night, and found a tiny cold, hungry, and scared, 5 mo. old Tortie on my doorstep, and I soon adopted her, and named her Elvira.

Under the tutelage of her mentor, Nikita, she has grown, and matured, and taken her place as a popular contributor to the blog. :-D

Where we go from here, is anyones' guess, and part of that journey involves being a part of this Community, and finally attending a Blog Paws Convention, next year.

I worked 17 years in the retail book business, 11 as a store manager, then 2 years at Target as a Cashier, and 6 as a Directory Assistance Operator for Verizon Wireless.

I've been unemployed since August 2010.

Being a Bicyclist I am a Recreational Road Cyclist, and Commuter, and have had Bicycles since childhood.

I am a published ( unpaid ) Star Trek Author, with an essay in Best of Trek #15, a book that has been out of print for over a decade.
I have had numerous letters published in Newspapers, and in Comics ( In the 80's ).

I commute by Bike and Bus.
I grew up in the Inland Empire Region of Southern Ca., and moved to Orange County, in Spring 2003.

I'm an avid reader, and film buff.

I enjoy taking Photos of places I've been on my Bike Rides, and other explorations of Southern California, and of my Cats, and Cats encountered on my travels.

My favorite drinks are Diet Coca-Cola, Fruit Smoothies, and the occassional Beer, or 3.
