Holistic Medicine for Animals

Holistic medicine includes therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, chiropractic care, pulsed signal therapy and nutritional counseling. Animals can experience meaningful improvement and profound healing that reaches the underlying cause of the problem. Holistic medicine is safe, gentle, and effective. Even when disease is not entirely eliminated, pets can enjoy a better quality of life. We believe integrative medicine (the use of both Western care and holistic techniques)…See More

Blog Carnivals

I just read about blog carnivals. Until today I had never heard of them. It sounds to me like a cross between having guest posters and a blog hop, all rolled into one.So, I started my first Blog Carnival on my blog.If you get a chance, please take a look and let me know what you think of this concept. Like I've said before, 'I'm new to TNR and I'm new to blogging (regularly)'A Carnival of…See More

About My Feral Blog

I was just about to let my huge dog run outside for a little while when I saw five tiny faces peaking through the fence in our back yard. To me this was a complicated moment. I saw five innocent little creatures who, except for their own mother, were unloved, uncared for, and in constant environmental danger. I also felt protective of my own dog.

I am an avid dog-lover. I resented the abundance of feral cats in our neighborhood ever since I my dog was old enough to run loose in our fenced-in yard. You see, there’s a danger for dogs being exposed to feral cat feces. The diet of most uncared for feral cats is very high in protein. Much too high for a young puppy. The second danger I see is that the ferals do not receive veterinary care and are not dewormed.

The day I saw those little faces was the day that I decided I could continue to complain, or I could plan to do something about this situation.

Fixed and Friendly, Holiday Kittens

Posted on December 17, 2012 at 9:56am 0 Comments

These two adorababies are looking for a forever (indoor) home for the holidays. They were trapped, fixed, and socialized. Now residing in SouthWest Florida, in a dog crate! Help them find a home, Please.

I didn’t have any luck this weekend taking the kittens to the adoption event. There are so many cats that rescues don’t have room and there is also a shortage of foster homes. The advice I received from the rescue was to begin networking with as…
