Rene Agredano added a discussion to the group BLOGPAWS "NEWBIE" MEET & GREET! BLOGPAWS 2012 SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH!!!Tripawds is the world's largest community for three legged dogs and their humans. Founded by Spirit Jerry G. Dawg, bone cancer hero and patron saint of tripod dogs everywhere, Tripawds provides resources, education and support to pawrents of dogs who have been diagnosed with canine bone cancer or whose dog is losing a leg for other reasons.
Our hero, Jerry, lost his leg to bone cancer in 2006. Given just four months to live, he beat the odds for two years as we traveled around North America for our last road trip together. Everywhere we went, people were amazed as he showed them that "It's Better to Hop on Three Legs than Limp on Four!"
Today his volunteer-run community has turned into our full-time labor of love. Every day we learn so much from these amazing dogs and their humans, we couldn't ask for more.
