Who Do You Want To Reach?

Topic Progress:

Who is the audience you want to serve? When thinking about your audience, there should be a problem that you’re solving for them. The “problem” doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as wanting to make people laugh. It can also be as complicated and deep as saving lives. Again, this ties back into your why.

Action Plan

Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Who is the audience you want to connect with?
  2. What problem are you solving for them?
  3. What do you have to offer your audience?

After you’ve answered these questions, make a reader avatar. A reader avatar is the profile of your ideal reader or follower. Think about your ideal reader and answer the following questions:

  • Where are they from?
  • How old are they?
  • Are they male/female?
  • Are they married? Do they have any children?
  • How many pets do they have?
  • What type of pets do they have?
  • What is their biggest problem?
  • What do they worry about?
  • What do they care about?

Each time you write a post or create a post on social media, write or speak as if you’re talking directly to that reader you just identified. You can even name your avatar!
