Why Do You Want to Monetize Your Blog?

Topic Progress:

A lot of people think success equates to making a lot of money, driving an expensive car, having the biggest house on the street, and affording luxury items. There’s nothing wrong with that . . . but that is not everyone’s version of success. Once you know your why, think about what would make you feel successful. Is it a certain amount of income? Is it the freedom to design your day so you can spend more time with your pets? Is it the freedom to work from anywhere? What does success look like for YOU?

Action Plan

Give yourself some quiet time to answer the following questions:

1. How much money do you need to make each month in order to feel comfortable?

2. What does your “perfect scenario” day in the life look like  for you?

Even with my education level (PhD) and experience, I would still be happy and comfortable earning $60,000-$70,000 per year. I am aware this isn’t ‘a ton’ of money but I would be very comfortable with this. I hope that someday I can reach this point.

I don’t have a money goal. I’m happy with any financial support that comes through due to my efforts put into the work. If I made $15,000-30,000 doing this that would be great. If I make enough to cover the costs of running blog plus a little more to cover associated fees of networking I’d be pleased, too.
