This is also a very good spot to grab some stuff: https://business.twitter.com/resources – their ebooks and so on contain a lot of big data around analytics (ie: how many more impressions an image tweet gets over a regular one). At least you know they’re studying a huge number of tweets! I learned about that site and the ebooks through one of their own presentations – it isn’t that obvious to find (at least wasn’t for me!)
Then using http://Analytics.Twitter.com is key to seeing how well your own tweets go down. That image one, and keeping them short, really followed what Twitters own stats showed 🙂
Jen, this looks very interesting. I want to whop myself up the side of the head for not even thinking of checking for resources on twitter itself. Thanks for sharing it. I’ve read about companies that do analytics for social media and every time I’ve pursued it, it’s way beyond my budget. This is a double windfall!
